New Art By Thom Sanborn
Wine Images: From Canvas To Print

Vinocruz is pleased to be showing a collection of new works by photographer Thom Sanborn.

After 26 years in the business, there's not much Thom hasn't photographed. However, that doesn't mean he'll photograph just anything. With a careful attention to detail, lighting and a hands-on personal approach, Thom is at his best when you need that special image. That one-of-a-kind, can't -stop-looking-at-it image.

This show focuses on images of wine. Using light and shadow, Thom presents images of objects relating to wine in a very personal and intimate setting. Details are highlighted, making the viewer notice what otherwise might be overlooked.

Dining Downtown with Cathy (Santa Cruz Sentinel, October 30, 2006):

Breath of Santa Cruz (Goodtimes, October 12, 2006):

"The interior of Vino Cruz, a brand-new tasting room dedicated solely to the wines of the Santa Cruz Mountains, has a sophisticated and clean feel, with stainless steel counters and low, square merchandise islands. There are bottles everywhere, at different levels, catching your eye from every corner with quirky and attractive labels. It may seem, at first, just like any other wine vendor’s store. The difference is that owner J-P Correa has made it his mission to discover and share wines from wineries so small, they otherwise don’t get exposure." Continue to the rest of the article . . .
